April 16, 2025 – Kallamino Special High School has received a substantial donation of laboratory equipment and teaching aids worth of 11,347 USD (1.5 million Birr) from Moje Bambino, Poland. The materials, which were delivered to the school labs on April 16, 2025, include essential scientific instruments and instructional resources designed to enhance hands-on learning and improve student outcomes.
The donation was secured through the efforts of the school’s Managing Director, Dr. Merhawi Abreha, during his visit to Poland’s Copernicus Science Center (CSC) to attend an international scientific forum. Moje Bambino is one of CSC’s partners committed to producing educational materials and lab equipment. The resources will significantly upgrade the school’s laboratory facilities, providing students with improved opportunities for practical scientific education.
Both faculty and students have expressed enthusiasm about the donation’s potential to elevate the quality of STEM education at the school. The contribution is expected to benefit not only the current students and staff but also will have lasting positive effects on the wider community.
This generous donation underscores Moje Bambino’s dedication to supporting global education initiatives and fostering academic excellence.
KSHS expresses its gratitude to CSC co-founder and CEO, Robert Firmhofer, CSC team and Moje Bambino team for playing instrumental role in facilitating the donation process. The School extends its sincere appreciation to both partners for the donation and looks forward to future collaborations that will continue to enhance educational opportunities for its students.
